This is a 20-year old young woman who was unhappy with the contour of her nose, particularly with the “hump” as seen from her profile. The patient expressed a desire to soften the overall look of her nose. Dr. Maffi performed her rhinoplasty (nose surgery) using an “open” method. During the open method, a small incision is made at the base of the nose in between the nostrils, allowing greater access for reshaping the cartilage. The patient recovered from surgery quickly with no complications. She is so pleased with her results that she wished she had undergone surgery sooner.
