Emily Curran

Medical Assistant & Piercing Expert

Emily is a Medical Assistant at Maffi Plastic Surgery and Dr. Maffi’s right hand in clinic. Since joining the practice in 2021, she has become an integral part of the surgical journey, assisting with consultations, supporting patients throughout every stage of care, and working directly alongside Dr. Maffi.

Her attention to detail and compassionate approach provide comfort and reassurance, ensuring patients feel cared for from the first visit through recovery. Emily also works closely with Mayo Clinic residents during their rotations, helping facilitate hands-on learning in a collaborative environment. In addition, she serves as the practice’s piercing expert, delivering safe and precise ear piercings within a medical setting.

Kathy Roberg, RN, BSN

Aesthetic Injection Specialist

Kathy is an Aesthetic Injection Specialist at Maffi Plastic Surgery and one of the most recognized faces in the practice. With more than 25 years of nursing experience, including over 20 years dedicated to medical aesthetics in Paradise Valley, she has built a reputation as a trusted and sought-after injector.

Known for her refined skill and artistry, Kathy has trained extensively in every FDA-approved injectable and has even served as a consultant and educator for leading aesthetic companies. Her long-standing collaboration with Dr. Maffi and her commitment to excellence ensure that every patient receives safe, natural, and beautiful results.

Heather Lucas, PA-C 

Aesthetic Injection Specialist

Heather is an Aesthetic Injection Specialist at Maffi Plastic Surgery and a Board-Certified Physician Assistant. She began her career in craniofacial surgery in 2001, where her passion for both art and medicine came together. After earning her PA degree in 2005, she joined the Division of Plastic Surgery at Mayo Clinic Arizona, where she achieved the rank of Assistant Professor.

Today, Heather splits her time between Maffi Plastic Surgery and SkinLab. With nearly two decades of experience in aesthetics and plastic surgery, she combines advanced medical expertise with an artistic approach to deliver results that are refined, natural, and tailored to each patient.

Talor Migdal, PA-C

Aesthetic Injection Specialist

Talor is an Aesthetic Injection Specialist at Maffi Plastic Surgery and a Board-Certified Physician Assistant. With a strong medical foundation from her background in Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care, she brings precision, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to patient safety to her work in aesthetics.

Splitting her time between Maffi Plastic Surgery and SkinLab, Talor specializes in facial balancing, neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and biostimulators. She blends her medical expertise with an artistic eye to deliver refreshed, natural-looking results, while also emphasizing medical-grade skincare to help patients maintain their best outcomes.

Bre Knouse, LE, CLT 

Aesthetics Director

Bre is the Aesthetics Director at Maffi Plastic Surgery, overseeing the team of aestheticians across both Maffi Plastic Surgery and SkinLab. A Licensed Master Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician with 17 years of experience, she brings advanced training and a passion for skin health to every patient she treats.

She specializes in acne-prone skin, melasma, rosacea, and signs of aging, creating personalized treatment and product regimens that deliver lasting results. In her leadership role, Bre ensures the aesthetic team reflects the elevated care and outcomes that define Maffi Plastic Surgery.

Teann Simmons, LE, CLT

Licensed Medical Aesthetician & Certified Laser Specialist

Teann is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician at Maffi Plastic Surgery with more than 20 years of experience focused on skin health. She is passionate about helping patients achieve healthier, more radiant skin through customized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.

With expertise in medical-grade skincare and a strong background in advanced treatments, Teann delivers results that are effective, natural, and patient-focused. Her dedication to skin health makes her a trusted resource for patients seeking long-term solutions and elevated care.

Kari Denk, LE, CLT 

Licensed Medical Aesthetician, Certified Laser Specialist

Kari is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician at Maffi Plastic Surgery and has been a trusted part of the practice for nearly 20 years. She combines the science and art of skincare to design personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, with expertise in hyperpigmentation, aging concerns, acne, and environmentally damaged skin.

As Dr. Maffi’s very first aesthetician, Kari has played an integral role in shaping the patient experience at Maffi Plastic Surgery. Her advanced training as a Certified Laser Specialist allows her to deliver results that are both effective and lasting, while her dedication to patient care has made her a valued and enduring member of the team.

Samantha Nagel 

Director of Operations

Samantha is the Director of Operations at Maffi Plastic Surgery and the driving force behind the smooth day-to-day function of the practice. She manages the systems, operations, and processes that allow the team to deliver an elevated patient experience at every level.

Her specialty lies in keeping the touch points that make Maffi Plastic Surgery unique, alive and consistent. Through her leadership and dedication, Samantha ensures the practice not only runs seamlessly but also continues to reflect the highest standard of care and service.

Bronwyn Zieba 

Clinic Administrative Assistant

Bronwyn brings a strong background in client and project management, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability from Arizona State University. This unique combination equips her with a confident and versatile skill set in administration and patient services, making her well rounded in the daily functions of the front office. 

As the front office is the very first interaction patients have with the practice, Bronwyn takes great pride in delivering a white glove concierge experience that sets the tone for exceptional care. Beyond providing seamless administrative support, she consistently goes above and beyond her daily responsibilities with a genuine passion for enhancing the patient journey. Her warm, personable nature and collaborative attitude make every patient feel welcomed, valued, and confident from their very first contact. 

Dedicated to continuous growth and excellence, Bronwyn is currently participating in the SkinCeuticals Ambassadorship course, expanding her knowledge of clinical skincare and further enhancing the elevated level of service she provides to every patient.

Gabrielle Montellano

Front Office Coordinator

Gabrielle brings a warm and welcoming presence to each patient’s experience at Maffi Plastic Surgery. With a background as a Front Office Coordinator, she excels in managing daily operations, coordinating appointments, and ensuring that every patient feels valued, supported, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. 

Gabrielle holds a degree in Marketing from California State University, Northridge, which enhances her ability to communicate effectively and contribute to the overall patient experience. Her exceptional organizational skills and friendly demeanor play a vital role in the smooth functioning of the front office, making her an indispensable part of the Maffi Plastic Surgery team. 

Dedicated to ongoing growth and excellence, Gabrielle is currently participating in the SkinCeuticals Ambassadorship course, furthering her knowledge of clinical skincare and reinforcing her commitment to patient education and service. 

Carmen Bean 

Bookkeeper

Carmen is the Bookkeeper at Maffi Plastic Surgery and brings more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting. Her credibility and depth of knowledge make her an essential part of the team, ensuring the practice operates on a strong and reliable financial foundation.

Day to day, Carmen manages the details that keep the business side of the practice running smoothly, from overseeing accounts to streamlining processes with precision and care. Her work allows the team to function at its best, supporting the elevated experience patients receive at Maffi Plastic Surgery.

Delaney Tabor

Marketing Manager

Delaney is the Marketing Manager for Maffi Plastic Surgery and SkinLab by Maffi, where she leads the strategy and execution behind the brands. She is dedicated to elevating the patient experience by creating cohesion across every touch point, ensuring the message of who we are and what we provide is clear, consistent, and impactful.

A graduate of Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business, Delaney holds a degree in Business Communications with a minor in Professional Sales. With a focus on innovation and brand integrity, she plays a key role in shaping how Maffi Plastic Surgery is seen and experienced by patients both online and in the practice.

Callea Alderson, LE, CLT

Licensed Medical Aesthetician & Certified Laser Specialist

Callea is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician and Certified Laser Specialist at Maffi Plastic Surgery with more than a decade of experience in advanced aesthetics. Originally from Colorado, she began her career in 2012 after completing her aesthetics training and earned her laser certification the following year.

With 10 years of Sciton-specific laser experience and advanced training alongside board-certified dermatologists and plastic surgeons across the country, Callea brings a depth of knowledge and precision to every treatment. She is also known for leading the charge on TriStax, Maffi Plastic Surgery’s innovative laser treatment bundle, further reflecting her commitment to results-driven care.

Her approach to skincare is simple: with the right education, guidance, and treatments, every patient can achieve skin that is both healthy and beautiful.
