The Neck Lift Procedure
Neck lift surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. Small incisions are made behind the ears and beneath the chin, depending on the surgical plan. Through these discreet incisions, Dr. Maffi will tighten the platysma muscle, sculpt or remove unwanted fat, and trim excess skin to create a more youthful neckline. The procedure typically takes two to three hours to complete. After surgery, you will be cleared to return home with your caregiver.
Recovery & Results for Necklift
Most patients experience mild to moderate swelling, bruising, and tightness in the days following surgery. These side effects gradually subside, and patients typically return to work and light activities within 10 to 14 days. You will receive personalized aftercare instructions and follow-up appointments to ensure you are healing correctly.
